Welcome, Field Technician II

Clear two.
Rule once.

Every certification file now routes through two short skill programs inside PROBITY 5.1. One establishes the machine or software identity. The other reconstructs its return.

Clear both, collect the clue packets, and bring the evidence to DOCKET. The arcade does not invent the answer: it tells you what the record can support before you issue a certificate or deficiency.

The certification loop

Skill
becomes evidence.

Short, distinct games replace passive green-button progression while preserving the certificate-or-deficiency payoff.

  1. 01

    Load two programs

Every filing assigns one machine or software game and one return game from the Certification Arcade.

  2. 02

    Clear the build clue

Lock signals, hit targets, route packets, race diagnostics, and prove which machine or program is actually on file.

  3. 03

    Clear the return clue

Reconstruct the declared return through pinball, chute timing, bowling, rhythm, artillery, tiles, and stranger utilities.

  4. 04

    Sign the record

Take both visible clue packets to DOCKET and issue the supported certificate—or name the specific deficiency.

The filing desk opens after two clears

“Two clues.
No guessing.

A successful program names the evidence it retained, the deficiency category it can support, and what remains before the ruling. The reward is not just a score—it is a defensible signature.

Not fifty reskins

Every cabinet
has a job.

Late-'90s and early-2000s shareware energy, rebuilt around the evidence each certification actually needs.

01

Different rules

Pinball physics, timing gates, racers, bowling, artillery, rhythm lanes, tiles, targets, desktop puzzles, and diagnostic tools ask for different skills.

02

Difficulty that grows

New software starts with a forgiving Install Trial, then returns at Casual, Skilled, Expert, and Night Shift difficulty with tighter patterns and fewer recovery disks.

03

Mastery that stays

The Program Library records stars, high scores, combos, and perfect clears. Free play builds mastery without changing an active ruling.

What changed, how the arcade works, and where version 0.27.0 is available.

01

What is Fit and Proper?

Fit and Proper is a free, single-player regulatory workplace game. Fifty short old-OS skill programs now produce the clues used to certify fictional gaming devices—or record the exact deficiency.

02

How does Certification Arcade work?

Every filing assigns two mini-games. Clear the machine or software program and the return program, collect both visible clue packets, then take that evidence to DOCKET for the final ruling.

03

Are the fifty games all the same?

No. The catalogue includes pinball, racers, bowling, artillery, target galleries, rhythm lanes, tile games, timing games, desktop puzzles, and diagnostic utilities with distinct rules and controls.

04

Where can I play version 0.27.0?

The current in-development beta is free on itch.io in a browser and as Windows or Linux downloads. The Steam page and build are still completing Valve's launch process.
